STAR CITY WHITETAILS is a Virginia based Hunting website that was created for the average hunter with a better than average passion for hunting. It's a site in which our outdoors-men & women can share and gather information as well as share their unique experiences in our great outdoors…. My name is Jeff Phillips and since my very first deer hunt with my grandfather at age 12 in the fall of 1979, I have been completely consumed with whitetail deer hunting.
The origination of Star City Whitetails started in 2009 when I began to self film my hunts. It was that fall that I took along my video camera and a tri-pod and while sitting in a self made ground blind deer hunting I managed to film myself harvesting a coyote at 15 yards with a crossbow. From that day forward I have tried to capture the highlights of my hunting experiences on video as opposed to just photographs and in the spring of 2013 I decided to create this site as a way to share my self filmed experiences with our hunting community. The name Star City Whitetails just seemed right because most of my hunting is done in Roanoke Virginia (the star city of the south) and my main focus and passion as it relates to the outdoors centers around whitetail deer hunting. This site has also given me a platform to do something else that I am passionate about...writting!
On this site you will find plenty of "real world" applicable hunting articles and information as well as hunter profiles, current weather conditions, VDGIF rules & regs, fish stocking report, recipes, video & photo galleries. We also have a very active facebook page which you can post and share your information with others.
